FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything travellers usually ask before booking a cab or tour from Manali.

Still have a question? Talk to Dushyant directly. We usually reply within minutes.
What is included in the “all inclusive” fare?

Our cab fares include fuel, vehicle permit, driver DA (driver allowance), and taxes & tolls. Meals, entry tickets, activity charges, snow gear and hotel or camp stays are not included.

Do you arrange the Rohtang Pass permit?

Yes. The vehicle permit is included in our Rohtang Pass fare and we apply for it when you book. Permits are limited each day, so book at least a day ahead. Rohtang is closed to tourist vehicles on Tuesdays; Gulaba and Kothi are good snow points that day.

Which car is best for snow, Rohtang or Spiti?

For snow and rough mountain roads, a 4X4 like the Mahindra Thar, Maruti Jimny or Gypsy is the safest choice. For families, an Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross or Fortuner is comfortable on long mountain drives. Tell us your route and we will suggest the right vehicle.

Do you pick up from Bhuntar Airport and the Manali bus stand?

Yes. We pick up and drop at your hotel in Manali, the Manali bus stand and Bhuntar (Kullu–Manali) Airport, timed to your arrival.

Can I book a one-way cab from Manali to another city?

Yes. Use the One way tab in the booking form to choose any pickup and drop, for example Manali to Chandigarh, Delhi, Shimla or Dharamshala, and we will send you the fare on WhatsApp.

Can you plan a multi-day tour to Spiti, Ladakh or Kinnaur?

Yes. Dushyant Thakur has 16 years of experience planning Himalayan road trips across Spiti, Kinnaur, Ladakh, Pangi Valley, Sach Pass and Killar–Kishtwar. Use the Tour package tab to choose your destinations and number of days, and we will share a custom itinerary.

Do you have vehicles for large groups?

Yes. Our Tempo Travellers seat from 9+1 up to 26+1, and our Force Urbania vans come in 9+1, 12+1 and 16+1 with pushback seats. The Bolero Camper carries luggage for groups of 15+.

How do I book a cab?

Fill in the booking form at the top of this page and send it on WhatsApp, or call +91 89881 90789 or +91 78760 10207. There is no payment needed to enquire; we confirm the fare and trip details with you before you travel.

What is the best time to visit Manali?

March to June is the busiest season, with Rohtang and Atal Tunnel open. July to September is green but has landslide risk. October and November have clear skies and fewer crowds, and December to February brings snow at Solang and Sethan.
